American gospel musician slams Obinim over pregnancy exorcism

American gospel singer, Deitrick Vaughn Haddon, has criticised the founder of the International God’s Way Church, Daniel Obinim, for stomping on a pregnant woman.

“This is the kind of foolish that’s got the church looking crazy right now!!!” the ‘He is able’ singer ranted.

According to him, such acts must not be tolerated by society under the guise of Christianity.

A 42-second video, which went viral on social media in December 2014, captured the ‘Bishop’ stomping on the pregnant woman during the exorcism session.

Various christian groups in the country have jointly condemned Obinim for the act.

Deitrick Haddon, a pastor, who has just seen the photo of the church leader carrying out his exorcism, condemned the act with some slur words.

He shared the photo with the caption:

“This is the kind of foolish that’s got the church looking crazy right now!!!smh The bible only speaks of the laying of hands not kicking folk!! Where are the #PreachersofLA cameras when you need them! I got an idea…#PreachersofLA goes to Africa and turn me loose on this kind of stuff!!@oxygen”.

The Preachers of L.A., according to records, is an American reality television series that chronicles the lives of three bishops and three pastors from their work within the church to their personal lives at home.

The preachers are adherents of prosperity theology, an offshoot of Pentecostalism.
